Director Padron signs First Community Bank of Joliet’s Charter
D. Lorenzo Padron, the Director of the Division of Banks and Real Estate, personally welcomed the newest state commercial bank in Illinois, the First Community Bank of Joliet on July 9, 2004.
Director Padron presented the state banking charter to President & CEO of First Community Bank, Stephen Morrissette and the Board of Directors in a charter signing ceremony at the bank’s interim location at 2769 Black Road. The bank is scheduled to move into a newly built location this year.
Director Padron expressed appreciation for the locally owned bank’s strategic vision to serve the credit needs of Joliet and the surrounding areas.
Joliet is the first DeNovo bank chartered in 2004. Five (5) banks are in the process of becoming state banks.
